Sing Sing Sing it's a Sign

"My Jesus, my savior; Lord, there is none like you..." (From Shout to the Lord)

"This is the air I breathe; your Holy presence, living in me...and I am desperate for you." (From This is the Air I Breathe)

"Purify my heart, let me be as gold and precious silver."  (From Refiner's Fire)

What are you singing?  Today, I mean.  Does your heart overflow with songs of praise and adoration for Christ?  Luke 6:45 tells us that "The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."

Sometimes it's so easy to get lazy with our singing.  If worship was like a conversation, we'd be like a droning, boring gabber, sitting across from a person eager to engage with us.   Fact is, though, Jesus is very uninterested in skillful vocalizations, our strained high notes or our smiling faces unless they come from hearts that are truly His.  I want to have that kind of heart, every day.  Do you?

What's in your heart?  What are you singing?
