My objective is to serve Jesus Christ by shepherding a local church (1 Peter 5:2) in such a way that the church community is strengthened in their love for Christ (Matthew 22:37), their comprehension of the Scriptures (John 5:39; Acts 17:11), and the application of Biblical Truth to all areas of life (Luke 6:46; John 15:14).  When the people of the church grow and we serve in our God-given gifts (Ephesians 4:11-16) the goals of God are accomplished in the world through the church (2 Corinthians 5:18-19).  Therefore, it is also my goal that any church I serve will grow in their active love for one another (John 13:34; Romans 12:10) and their active love for the world around them (Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 10:14-17). 

I try to reach these objectives by:

• pursuing a life yielded to Christ, led by the Spirit, and informed by the Scriptures
• investing myself into my family: their growth, well-being, enjoyment and service to Christ
• preaching the Word of God with the aim of explaining and applying the text of Scripture to life
• teaching classes for others and training people for ministry
• spending intentional time developing men to their fullest potential in Christ so they will be the men, the husbands, fathers, friends, employees, students and community members God wants them to be
• spending intentional time engaging in and building my geographical community
