Graphic Design

Graphic design is a big thing these days.  Schools provide master's level coursework and people spend many years and many dollars being trained for it.  Unfortunately, I've done neither.  However, through my varied experiences and innate drive to be creative, I've picked up some ideas about colors, use of space, balance, and presentation.  One of my favorite topics is logo creation and branding.  I don't agree with all the marketing hoopla and jargon that a company is nothing without a brand.  Still, I do believe that people are multifaceted and a smile and a handshake are not the sum total of our experience.  The Nike swoosh, Adidas's three stripes, Coke's Red & White, Pepsi's circle-thing, etc.- each of these images help us to see and recognize without missing a beat.  Consumer confidence is carried with imagery; good experience is connected with colors!  It's really quite an intriguing study in human behavior.  For me, that ultimately reminds me of the Creator and His majesty, but for now, we're looking at art!

So below you'll find some graphic design creations of mine.  Most are created using Inkscape, The Gimp, or some combination of the two!  I hope you appreciate the work!  Read more about logo design by clicking here, and here.
